keep making calls dude!!! thats the rule!!!

ahhhh... finally after being shaped in training and all testzz... time is here to get on the floor show your "velvety smart voice"
damn I'm excited n nervous !!!

first day on floor :O

"pick up the receiver and here is the data. start calling!!!"
OK... 1st call its ringing ... hmmm ringing n ringing...
dude come`on pick up the call!!!
n so on!!! all day long only two guys picked up the call.
ahhhh n said we are getting these call can u tell me what should i do so i dont get these calls!!!
ahhh its very simple dude "buy ma company product" me happy u happy :D
offcourse didnt said that hehhehe...
"well sir we are provied we the selected customers no.s and so to be luck u dont have to do anything big just register in 'National Do Not Call' ..."
Ooops 1st day was awwwwwful!!! still i had fun :D !!!

so the journey begins....,
now its new to me, new people and all professionals.
i was tooo curious to learn more about so many things!!!
but here the time ask to be patient and to be more patient...
that's what the most important lesson i learned!!!
ma work was to do "telecalling n selling" of awesome games product!!! company i was working for is a well known gaming company... know as GOD :b god of games hehhehe... its "Games On Demand."
what i have to do really... isn't fun till u now its fun ;)
who ever you call don't really wanna take it or might like the offer but still dont take it!!! many reasons!!!
some say... i like it but dont have time to play games!!! many had examz, preparing for CAT, working chapss jammed in office, sorry for them they cant play games :P
but i would be like...hmmm okies no prob sir, but this is right time to find time out for your self, and i took out a new survey too :P which say game is stress buster (heyyy it reallyy is try it out once!!!)... help in increasing concentation power, refresh and entertains you, they got to pay just 199 bucks or smaller pack just 99bucks :P to play all 250 or 100 full version games, nice deal right!!!!
ahhh yea its not 199, its just 199 that how we say it... :P

but the point here is that everyone outta there, on other side of the call isnt a game freak... n some just 'sometime' check out 'japak' (free free free ), so how to make them play games for which thy gotta pay!!!

so here is another point to remember... "its not only price sir, quality n quantity goes all toghter."
keeping one thing in mind is very essential... if you 'believe' what you tell is really good you are more able to convince how good it can be to them!!!
everyone is customer, n i started talking about customer need and consumer satisfaction.
being my intrest in marketing; i enjoyed being in it!!! my prior focus was not ma sells but was to learn more about it... n collect more 'points to remember' :D
i loved talking to people from different cities states!!!
some didn't knew hindi... so ahhh i started blushing with ma convent English, heheheh.... oopss everyone kinda impressed !!! bad sorta.. they gonna expect more now!!!

here goes ma 1st sale
partttyyyy hehehe....
after 5day on floor i made 1st sale :P
she was a wonderful lady...

next point to remember was "smart talk"
now even i used to wonder whats smart talk and what this smart talk.
be smart enough to tell them you giving them something worth buying!!!
its really a skill. i have seen guys who never played games or never interested or had time to play games, buying this gaming package!!!
the dude next to ma desk was awesome!!! he made sales like anything,
n then he spelled out his funda...
"make them feel its not just games they buying its worth more, n then there are 9 USPs, dont sell it to them, make them feel its just for them!!!"
and moreover speak out the word "Free freee freeeeeeeeeee" ahhhh they love this word :P

damn i have written too muchh now time to go off!!!

so girls n guys rule is " keep making calls!!! but after calls don't fill it with rules but design its with all smarty pant colours, customers are yours :D "

NOW WHATS NEXT?????????????????????

so here I'm...
too curious to do a Job... get out something good of my time and myself.
not just by what everyone else doing... thinking too much of it and getting nothing out of it...
i was so full of it.. decided i gotta get on the floor... Just working with books was not me!!!! i wanted something to make myself busy. That's who I'm...!!! if i work i study more. that's how it motivates me. My words my voice is ma power and i just wanted to use ma power and convert it in something worthy. another part of ma curiosity was being unemployed I'm fully depended on ma parents, asking for money to them and then always asked for the reason, and reason mare being spending with friends. anyways I'm not much into spending but when you get out with friend its necessity to have this much that you can pay your part, but i always get fear i would be asked of "why??"where??" and so i decided to earn for my expenses.
Was that too much i wanted to do for myself...???????

well i posted my CV on naukri.com and applied for all kinda marketing jobs. and after a month i got few calls... n what i thought i could manage with ma graduation studies and MBA preparations... here i got a "SALES AND TRADE EXECUTIVE IN CALL CENTER" and another "EXECUTIVE in consultancy"
Went for interview and got selected!!!! n n n n n yiipii... :D :D i was so damn happyyy..
call center was a part time and i asked for evening shift. executive one was full time so i got to think about doing a full time Job....
and guess what here was a bluster mom dad started saying no .. that even indirectly... n only thing that came into ma head was "Why ?????" now she is like "standard" "your sister worked part time in "doordarshan" "parents in bank" "why you even need to work?" "why you need money?" and i kept explaining its not money for what I'm doing, but its just ma ROI "return on investment" yea its kwelll!!! rite !!! i mean guys spend there evening in roaming n spend useless money, n at that time i would be earning!!!
but how to explain them the call center myths are not all true!!! i had to work 3pm-9pm and it was quite near my place... just 10Min's by walking!!! but she had big deal with 9 pm
:( :( :( :(
and here I'm sitting after attending the HR round
writing this blog ... thinking how i'll be missing one chance to actually know how they work... what it actually is !!! :( :(

NOW WHATS NEXT?????????????????????

and next was a strong decision and trust on self, said to myself "yea i know i can mange it, if i dont do it how whould i know how to do it!!!" and BINGOOO im on way to ma 1st day to ma training!!!
:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
will come back soon to tell you all how really is a CALL CENTER!!! all fun and blusters!!!!

Teens’ parents deserve rights too

THE FACT I never had children of my own is one of the great sadnesses in my life.

Then again, the way things are going these days, maybe I should consider myself fortunate.

It seems to me an increasing number of mothers and fathers are being driven to distraction by defiant offspring. Worse, some parents are actually living in fear of their own flesh and blood, and there’s little they can do about it.

In the eyes of the law, youngsters now have all the rights and parents all the responsibilities.

Take the Annapolis Valley woman I met not long ago. She’s a single mother with a rebellious 14-year-old daughter.

Unwilling to abide by her mother’s house rules and prepared to resist them violently, the child left home a year ago and went to live with another family, one with a much more laid-back philosophy.

Since then, says the distraught woman, her daughter has been doing as she pleases under the other roof.

"It was brainwashing," the mother observed sadly. "I can’t blame it all on my daughter."

But now has come the final sword thrust: her child is pregnant by a man who’s almost 10 years her senior.

Adding to the shock, her mother only found out through the principal at her daughter’s school.

Has the mother spoken with social services, the police, politicians? Someone? Anyone?

She nodded miserably. She said she went to see social services workers the day after her daughter fled last year.

"They said as long as she has a roof over her head and she’s fed, she’s OK."

Ever since, the mother has been running into a bureaucratic brick wall because her child is not officially considered at risk.

Even the teen’s intimate relations with an older man haven’t been grounds for police intervention. The age of consent in Canada had been 14 since 1890 and was only raised to 16 in February.

Essentially, the odds today are stacked against parents when they’re in conflict with their children.

To be fair, parents whose kids have fled do have a legal recourse. If the child is younger than 16, parents can apply to the courts to have the child returned. But by the same token, if the court agrees to hear the case, the child has every right to attend and express an opinion, which the judge is obliged to take into consideration.

Frankly, I have great sympathy for people like the mother from the Annapolis Valley because, when it comes down to it, their legal rights to actually be parents are few and far between — unlike their responsibilities.

Under the Criminal Code, for example, it’s spelled out that mothers and fathers are required to care for their children.

Children, on the other hand, have more rights than you can shake a stick at, including their own UN declaration, no less!

Nova Scotia’s Family and Children’s Services Act states unequivocally that parents and guardians have responsibility for the care and supervision of their offspring who, in turn, are entitled to protection from abuse and neglect.

Further, the act says all children have basic rights and fundamental freedoms at least the equal of those of adults, plus a right to special safeguards and assistance in preserving those rights and freedoms.

Children, it adds, must be told of their rights and freedoms and are entitled to be part of any process that leads to decisions affecting them. They’re also entitled to speak their mind at hearings.

These days, what’s a well-meaning mother or father to do?

"When it comes to troubled teens, parents have to have rights!" the mother from the Annapolis Valley exclaimed.

I told her I agreed and suggested we co-operate on a proposed list of rights. Here’s a sampling of what we came up with:

•A parent shall have the right to insist a child stay in school until at least 16.

•A parent shall be able to request any information pertaining to the child until he or she turns 18. This information would include health, school issues and all social services information.

•A parent who is the primary caregiver, and where there is no evidence of abuse, shall have the right to decide where the child will live until the age of 16. If the child has behavioural problems, then that child shall not be allowed to make this decision until they are 18.

•A parent shall have the right to lay charges against their child’s sexual partner until the age of 18, no matter whether the sex was consensual.

•A parent should be allowed to discipline a child, up to and including withholding privileges for a short period of time, for example: not allowing attendance at school dances or after-school outings; use of the telephone and computer, et cetera.

For the mother I spoke to, drawing up this list was a welcome diversion to the ongoing stress of trying to re-establish some authority over her daughter’s life.

Quite honestly, she doesn’t know what else to try, or even if she should keep trying.

"I’m so scared (for) our relationship," she confessed.

Postscript: My advocacy for parental rights notwithstanding, if you suspect child abuse or neglect, call your local child welfare agency, Nova Scotia Community Services, during office hours. After hours, weekends or holidays, call 1-866-922-2434.
